Quality Inn Newport

Great place to stay for a trip to Newport. Everything there were wonderful, including cleanfacilities. Exceptionally comfortable beds and a flat-screen TV with cable channels, climate control and a microwave oven. The views over swimming pool.

I liked our room by the pool so we didn't have to walk far.

The price Booking had was 10.00 cheaper then the price Red Roof Inn charged us. Instead of 49.99 plus tax, it was 59.99 plus tax. We got there and she wasn't sure what was going on but she did put me in a room with a king size bed/ non smoking. But... the room didn't have hot water. After we unpacked our stuff and husband was going to take a shower, no hot water. We didn't ask for a two double bed room. We asked for a king bed. So because we had our stuff unpacked, we stayed where we were at. The carpet had oatmeal that had spilled out from a packet on the floor so we know the floor was not cleaned. The coffee pot had a used filter in it. Also even though they had waffles, they had little bitty danish type things, cereal and toast for breakfast. When they say free breakfast I expect a bigger choice then that. They didn't give out or have directions for the ice and vending machines. I had to wonder around looking for them.

We only spent one night, but I was impressed by the staff at the front desk. They were friendly, cheerful and helpful. They gave us a great room, for the money, and went out of their way to be nice. Although we normally stay at more luxury hotels, I would recommend this hotel for people passing by the area. Thanks.

Loved the people there. Our pre booking from Booked.net was not there when we arrived but David (Manager I believe) made sure we got a nice room, and treated us extremely well. The housekeeping staff was very nice... room was clean and comfortable. Wireless internet left a little to be desired (somewhat weak) BUT we were VERY happy with our two night stay. If we are ever in the area again, there is no doubt we will stay at Newports Red Roof Inn...

Like I said, wireless internet was weak, but no big deal at all. I could check my email and that was what was important.

The facilities were better than expected for a very budget-oriented motel. Families will appreciate the indoor pool and hot-tub, which are very rare of at this price scale. Renovations were well-done, the design was generally attractive, and the location is very convenient to the eastern end of the Smoky Mountain National Park.

If noise bothers you, you may want to avoid the court-yard facing the pool, since it is often full of children, but this is not a problem after pool hours. It has the usual thin, rough towels and strong disinfectant odor of hotels in its price range, and the bath facilities and carpet show some wear, but I consider this an acceptable compromise given the price. The bed was comfortable.

The pool area was enjoyable but had some rowdy guests at night. While the breakfast was satisfying, improvements are needed in cleaning common areas for a better experience.

Pleased with the size and accomadations. Beautiful building but starting to show wear and tear around the edges. Pool was cold and spa way to hot. At one time this motel was aaa. Sadly it needs a rehab but could once again be great.

Possibly the best and FINE stay for the price. Nice building and rooms with good amenities.

Really neat indoor pool and hot tub area. Room was fine. Breakfast was budget type of breakfast.

The room was cozy with comfy beds, and we really enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub during our stay. It was great to unwind after a long day, even though the breakfast options were a bit limited. Overall, I’d suggest bringing snacks and enjoying the facilities instead! 😊

We had to try 4 different rooms before we goy one that we could access and/or had a clean bathroom.

Friendly staff, plenty of dining options nearby. Rooms need a deep clean. Just okay overall.

The pool view offered a pleasant atmosphere. The manager was attentive and tried to address our concerns, contributing positively to our experience.

The overall cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, impacting our comfort.

Our kids enjoyed fishing, and it was lovely to have some family bonding time. The room was comfortable and had easy access to the outdoor space.

My kids wished there were better amenities for families, especially fun activities on-site.
